SIMA Wealth Partners, LLC is a fee-only, independent private wealth management firm with an office in Richmond, Virginia. SIMA specializes in working with business owners, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals and families. We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated, analytical individual to join our team.

 

Job Summary

The Client Services & Portfolio Administrator is responsible for set up and maintenance of client accounts; compilation and completion of client, custodian and firm paperwork; review and maintenance of client transactions and activity; and execution of client and firm tasks such as asset transfers, preparation of reports and general support of portfolio and investment strategies. The position will be responsible for buying and selling securities as directed by portfolio managers. The position is also responsible for preparing client reports and for maintaining contact with clients to provide or obtain updated information, schedule meetings with preferred staff and troubleshoot problems. Responsibilities include data gathering, modeling, case design, scenario building, plan development and presentation development. The position may participate in client meetings but not in an advice or decision-making capacity.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support client service team with administrative client service issues
  • Set up and maintenance of accounts and client contact information
  • Assist client in completing firm and custodian paperwork as needed
  • Trading through rebalancing software
  • Execute asset transfers
  • Liaison with custodians (Charles Schwab & American Funds) on client service issues
  • Review client transactions and activities; prepare reports
  • Compile account paperwork for client meetings and review
  • Support investment team as needed
  • Communicate with clients, verbally and in writing
  • Deliver superior client service—troubleshoot problems, schedule and organize meetings; serve as liaison between Advisor and client as needed
  • Manage client information—prepare client reports, submit and follow up on necessary paperwork
  • Implement plan created by portfolio manager; buy and sell securities as needed; complete trade corrections quickly and efficiently
  • Collaborate as a member of the client relationship management team; communicate with clients as needed
  • Ensure daily trade logs are checked and reconciled; debit and credit accounts as needed
  • Gather, organize and synthesize client data within a financial planning context
  • Prepare client financial plans and presentations for review by supervisors
  • Prepare financial scenarios
  • Attend client meetings in a technical, supporting and learning role
  • Special projects, as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a concentration in finance preferred
  • Experience working under an advisory platform/Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) Firm preferred
  • Experience using Envestnet Tamarac Advisor Suite or other similar CRM, reporting and rebalancing software
  • Experience in the corporate retirement plan industry preferred
  • FINRA Series 7 General Securities Representative Exam and FINRA Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law Examination or FINRA Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; excellent Excel skills

Experienced Payroll Processor

 

SIMA is seeking a payroll processor with a minimum of five years’ experience. Position requires accuracy , efficiency and the ability to focus on detail while meeting deadlines. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a definite plus.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Processes bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and on-demand payrolls
  • Contacts clients daily according to set schedules in order to obtain payroll data, including any adjustments such as new employees and issuance of bonus checks.
  • Keys all payroll-related data necessary to process and meet payroll deadlines
  • Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Transmits payroll tax deposits timely
  • Researches and handles payroll discrepancies and issues
  • Processes garnishments, including any additional research required
  • Prepares and provides payroll reports to clients
  • Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clients, agencies, and coworkers to promote a positive quality service image.
